-------------------------------------tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? one without a permanent scar
and did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there.------------------------------------- brynne rolled out of bed at a far earlier time than she normally would. the mere fact that she couldn't sleep was the prime factor in this decision to get up. not only was the baby kicking like crazy, it was also the day that harry was coming home. it had been a rather long month without him, but she had gotten everything figured out while he was gone. today was the day that she was going to tell harry what she had failed to say before. she was going to tell him everything that she felt. she wandered into the kitchen, grabbing a box of frosted cheerios out of the cabinet. she took a seat on one of the barstools, leaning back on the counter. she grabbed a handful of the cereal, slowly munching away at them while she lost herself in thought.
should i tell him as soon as i see him? should i just blurt it out, or wait for a good time? he'll be with his mother.... should i wait until i'm alone with him? what if i miss him? he doesn't even know i'm going to the airport. she shook her heard after a moment of these thoughts. "chill bee, chill." she muttered aloud to herself. she knew she shouldn't be worrying about it. harry had already admitted his feelings for her. what if he changed his mind? she made a face at the thought. she let the thought go, or at least tried to. she couldn't help letting a few doubts drift across her mind. after finishing up her "breakfast" or rather first snack of the day, she hopped off the stool and disappeared into her bedroom.
as usual, bee decided she must find the perfect outfit, though this task had been a little bit difficult lately. at five and a half months she had a decently big baby bump, and it made finding the perfect outfit more and more difficult as time went on. after standing in her closet looking rather condescendingly at everything, she finally spotted a white camisole and grey sweater hanging next to each other. she grabbed the two articles of clothing and a pair of jeans before wandering out of her closet and heading into the bathroom to get ready.
an hour and a half later, a showered and completely ready bee wandered out of the bathroom. she was dressed, her hair was styled, she had applied make-up. she was like one of those eager five year olds who had gotten ready way to early because they were excited for their first day of school. after glancing at the clock and realizing she still had quite a few hours before his flight was supposed to arrive, she laid back on her bed. she rested her eyes a moment, and before she knew it she was sound asleep.
her eyes snapped open several hours later. shit.. she thought to herself. a look of panic on her face as she glanced over to the clock. thankfully, she hadn't completely overslept. it was later than the original time she had wanted to get up, but she had already gotten ready earlier. she hurried out of bed, the sudden movement making her a little nauseous at first. she adjusted her hair in the mirror once she had regained her composure. with a deep breath, she slipped on ballet flats, grabbed her purse and headed towards the door.
she taxied down to grand central station, and from there took the bus to JFK international airport. most people weren't really fans of the airport. bee didn't mind them all that much. she was a little directionally challenged sometimes, but she had flown in and out of JFK so many times that she knew the place like the back of her hand. while on the bus, she pulled a piece of paper out of her bag. she had called harry's mum to get their flight information. she had told her not to tell harry, but bee wasn't sure whether she would keep that. most mothers had a habit of accidentally spilling things.
the bus arrived at the airport, though the ride there was rather rough. bee normally didn't mind buses or taxis, but this driver had been particularly bad for a cabby, and the ride made her a little sick. she eagerly exited the bus and headed into the airport terminal where she could wait for harry's flight to arrive. the terminal wasn't too crowded, but there were a few other people there waiting for their friends or family to arrive. she took a seat in one of the chairs, passing along a smile to the few people who were around. she had no particular direction to her gaze. it just sort of skipped around the room not really staying on one thing for too long. she sat up at the sound of the speaker announcing which flight had just landed, like a puppy would at the sound of its owner coming home. it was harry's flight.
she stood up, a hell of a lot more eager than half the waiting people. she wandered over towards the door where the people would come out. her eyes glued to the door. her heart started pounding in excitement as people started walking out. of course, none of those first few people were harry. her heart kept racing, which caused the baby to start kicking. she glanced down for one moment, and of course thats when harry decided to walk out. she looked up and saw him. a grin instantly flew to her face as she practically ran towards him, flinging her arms around him. "harrrryyyyy!"she said excitedly, before placing a kiss on his lips.

she acts like summer and walks like rain reminds me there's a time to change, hey Since the return from her stay on the moon she listens like spring and she talks like June, hey hey Harrison glanced over at his mother but she was sleeping in the seat next to him on the airplane back home. The two were heading back from a family home in Greece and they had been there for just about a month now. It was hard being away this time around since his father’s death, but his mother hadn’t been acting like herself before. He tried getting her to come around by being at home more and helping her around the house and giving her some company, but he soon was at a loss as of how he could help her. He hated seeing her in the sad shape she was in, but when her sister from Greece called, an idea came to him. And within a few phone calls later they had decided that they would spend November there and he could keep up with his college classes online since he had already been behind from returning from Europe. Harry’s mother had seemed to cheer her up a little and a few days after that call, they had gone overseas.
Harry drummed his fingertips lightly against the little table in front of him as he looked out of the window. There had been one person he hadn’t wanted to leave behind when he left, and the one person he missed the most. And that was Brynne Elizabeth Golightly. A small smile appeared when he thought of her. He hadn’t called her to tell her that he was coming home that day or anything, but the two had kept in contact while he was away by emailing, talking on the phone and such. He had meant to tell her when he was coming home so the two could see each other as soon as possible, but the last few days in Greece had been such a busy whirlwind that he hadn’t even had the chance to talk to her. He was a little nervous about seeing her again. Ok, a lot nervous. This was the girl he had been in love with since practically forever probably. What if she met another guy or her and Jack decided to reconnect when he was gone? A month can do things to you that can change you forever. But she would’ve discussed those forever things with him if they happened. Right?
Sun dusk began to fall, and soon the sky turned darker and darker as the plane ride back home continued. Harry didn’t have an idea of what time it was, all he knew was that he was closer to home every minute, for good this time. There was the usual airplane activity going on, some people were typing away on their laptops, others reclining while they were sleeping in their chairs, parents talking softly to their little ones, and people trying to get signal on their mobiles. Harry turned his off, so he couldn’t even glance at his to see what time it was, it was stashed away in his bag in the compartment above him. But the dark turned darker as the air began to feel a new turbulence.
”Passengers please buckle in your seatbelts as we prepare for landing in ten minutes.” Harry’s heart leaped in his chest as the stewardess informed them of the landing, and an anxious feeling bubbled inside of him for some unknown reason. He reached over and shook his mother’s shoulder lightly to wake her, and she jumped in her seat and looked around, startled. Harry gave her a small assurance smile and told her they were landing in a few moments. ”Oh!” she answered with great surprise and began acting slightly nervous. Harry figured that this was due to the fact that she never really liked airplanes much in the first place, which was why she liked to sleep on the flights as much as possible. So Harry just reached over to her and rubbed her back to hopefully calm her nerves while a smile appeared as he glanced back out the window. The plane lowered and lowered and finally it landed and started speeding down, but slowing the speed each time.
Soon the departing time came when it finally stopped, and the passengers could finally get up and get their personal belongings. The two had to wait awhile to get off though because there were still several people ahead of them even when they were sitting in first class. He held onto the railing above him just to keep balance while waiting, and finally they could move. The two stepped off the airplane and went down the cooridor, hand in hand with their carry on bags looking exhausted but relieved to be there at last. Harry looked over at his mom, but she was looking at her phone while wearing an anxious expression. ”Mother, are you all right?” he asked while they stepped into the seating area of their gate exit and took a step closer in case she needed him, concerned. Before he could hear her answer though, his ears snapped attention to the new airport sounds, though one sound sounded very familiar. Harrrrryyyyyyy the voice squealed, and his eyes looked around the room before spotting Brynne coming forward.
His heart seemed to have stopped as he stood there shocked, taking her in. How had she known that he was going to be there at this time? He just looked on as she drew closer and closer to him. She was more beautiful than he remembered, even with the fact that she was now definitely showing a baby bump at almost six months. It felt like forever before the distance between them was finally closed, and Harry dropped his bags onto the floor to greet her. He was caught off guard as his eyes closed in surprise when her lips met his and embraced her in his arms. Harry kissed her back deeply as the surprise slowly wore off. Everything was still the same for them and their feelings for each other couldn’t be more obvious then. A few moments later, Harrison reluctantly pulled away from the kiss and opened his eyes, slowly catching his breath. ”With a few more surprise kisses like that, you might not have me around much longer,” Harry murmured teasingly with a heavy voice. He looked down into Bee’s eyes and cupped her face with his hands, not wanting to pull apart from her then. He felt like he could just stop time and spend in this moment forever and it’d be fine with him.

-------------------------------------tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? one without a permanent scar
and did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there.------------------------------------- for some reason, seeing harry right now in this moment was a little different than usual. he still looked like the exact same guy that had left for greece a month ago. he was still the same old harry. if anything had changed, he seemed a little more relaxed. bee knew what was different this time, though. it was the fact that she was about to tell him exactly how she felt. their kiss seemed to last forever. it was one of those lame chick flick moments, and she loved every second of it.
when they finally pulled away, bee was able to see the surprise on his face. With a few more surprise kisses like that, you might not have me around much longer, she chuckled at his words, remaining as close as possible as she could to him. "well i'd like to keep your around, and due to that look on your face you're probably wondering how i knew you were coming home today."she said, the smile on her face could not possibly get much bigger. "i'd love to say it was my amazing intuition, but the truth is, i called your mum."she said, glancing over at mrs.roberts. "thank you by the way."she added quickly to mrs.roberts.
normally she'd leave this moment to at least kind of move out of the way, or to greet mrs.roberts or whatever, but she had something to say and she figured everything else could wait. right now was the perfect moment. she had been dying to tell harry this for awhile, and now she was about ready to explode. "but, any other questions you have can wait like five minutes.. because i've got something really important to say." she said. she paused a moment, allowing harry to give her an inquisitive look.
she took a deep breath to gather her thoughts. she placed her hands on both of his shoulders and looked at him a moment, a smile coming to her face yet again. "harrison oliver roberts, i love you. i'm in love with you. i have loved you for all of my nearly twenty-two years of life, and i want to love you for the rest of it. she started, she was quickly rambling trying to get all of her feelings out. her heart was racing, and the baby was kicking yet again. she was nervous, and she wasn't sure why. "i know its taken me awhile to say this, and i'm sorry for that, and i really hope nothing has changed on your end, because i want to be with you. i want you. i want us."she said, taking a quick pause to catch her breath. "and i'm pretty positive i've hit a record on how many times a person can use the words love and want in one breath."
at this point bee's grin couldn't get any larger, and she laughing a little at herself. she had just rambled everything out of her system. she really, really hoped nothing had changed, or else she'd feel a little ridiculous saying all of that. she was so happy to finally let it out. to be honest, this was probably the only time she had ever let out that much feelings to a guy. it wasn't just an 'omg i love you!' to her best friend. this was her saying she loved him and meaning it. she had loved him forever basically. if it was possible to have love at first sight when you were only a few days old, then thats what it was that she had with harry. she may not have owned up to it for her entire life, but looking back on things she had always loved him.

she acts like summer and walks like rain reminds me there's a time to change, hey Since the return from her stay on the moon she listens like spring and she talks like June, hey hey It was one of those moments where you felt like you knew what was coming, and Harry barely had time to anticipate the next moments. He looked down at Brynne while they remained close still and she chuckled at his words."well i'd like to keep your around, and due to that look on your face you're probably wondering how i knew you were coming home today." He had been wondering how Brynne knew he was there at this time, and when she admitted his mother told her and thanked her, Harrison looked over at his mother, speechless. This had to be one of the top surprises he had gotten in awhile. His mother smiled, and lowered her head, backing off as if to give the two privacy. They were in an airport though, they didn't have much privacy. People were eyeing them as if they were fish in bowls or something. He turned his attention back to Brynne but before he opened his mouth to speak, she had told him he couldn't say anything else for five minutes.
He stood still, caught up in the moment, unable to do anything but listen to her say the next words that followed. His heart raced as he realized what she was saying. "harrison oliver roberts, i love you. i'm in love with you. i have loved you for all of my nearly twenty-two years of life, and i want to love you for the rest of it. His eyes widened and he opened his mouth to speak, but she had told him that he couldn't until she was done. Harry wasn't sure what he would've said though because his thoughts were whirling around in his head. "i know its taken me awhile to say this, and i'm sorry for that, and i really hope nothing has changed on your end, because i want to be with you. i want you. i want us." he just stood there and looked at her before she finished. "and i'm pretty positive i've hit a record on how many times a person can use the words love and want in one breath."
This caused him to smile a little, but things remained to be at a serious note between the two. It seemed like both of their lifes just lead up to this single moment, to where she was confessing her love to him. Words slowly made their way back to Harry, and he continued to gaze into her eyes. He thought he heard his mother mutter a thank the lord and finally, but he couldn't look away to glance at her, he didn't want the moment to be ruined now. "I love you too, Brynne Elizabeth Golightly. I probably have every moment of my life, because I can't remember when I didn't love you. I've wanted you all along, even after we broke up, I just didn't realize it until a few months ago, when I first told you that I loved you." He paused for a moment so they both could get their heads around with what was happening and continued. "Nothing has changed on my part, and I don't think it ever would." His hands had lightly taken hers, and he was at a loss for how this should end. "Will you be my girlfriend again?"
Notes:yours was good, but mine totally didnt end the way I wanted it to... hope its ok though!

-------------------------------------tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? one without a permanent scar
and did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there.------------------------------------- once she had spoken all she needed to say, she shut up. there was a silence between them and this allowed brynne's mind to wander. she began thinking over what she had said. now that she thought about it, she probably could have worded it all better, but it was in the moment. that counted for something right? the silence seemed like it was forever, even if it was only a few seconds. she swore she heard something from harry's mother, but then harry began to speak. her eyes were glued on him yet again, and her attention fully focused on him. her heart began racing yet again, waiting to see what he was going to say. she prayed nothing had changed. that would make this amazing moment rather awful.
her heart leaped as the first words rolled out of his mouth. I love you too, Brynne Elizabeth Golightly. I probably have every moment of my life, because I can't remember when I didn't love you. I've wanted you all along, even after we broke up, I just didn't realize it until a few months ago, when I first told you that I loved you. the smile returned to her face, larger than before, if that was even possible. her eyes were stuck on his, and she wanted to speak. she wanted to say something, but her mind was frozen. her heart was doing flips at this point. she was too thrilled to say anything. she didn't want to ruin this moment, and opening her mouth at this point would definitely do that.
Nothing has changed on my part, and I don't think it ever would. her smile grew even more. her face was actually starting to hurt a little from smiling so much. she was still speechless. she had given her speech confessing her love and then she had lost her ability to speak. she just didn't know what to say at this point, and she was pretty sure words wouldn't be able to describe how she was feeling. she and harry had always had a relationship where they could be completely silent and still know exactly what each other meant. it was something that came from knowing each other so long, and she was thankful for that. she didn't mean for silence to fall between them, but it wasn't awkward. it was a savoring the moment type of silence.
Will you be my girlfriend again? the last time harry had asked her to be his girlfriend, they were five years old. they had been on the swings at the park near their houses. he had been pushing her on the swings and then suddenly stopped. bee turned around to ask him why he had stopped and he asked, bee will you be my girlfriend? she had giggled and then realized he was being serious. she smiled and responded, sure, i've never been someone's girlfriend before. brynne giggled at the flashback. "sure." she said. "i would say i've never been someone's girlfriend before, like i did last time but that doesn't apply anymore."she said grinning. the first relationship she had with harry had lasted them ten years, this time it would last that much and more. at least, she hoped anyways. she laced her fingers with his. she was now aware that they were still in the airport, and that they were kind of in the way. she glanced around a moment before looking to him. "so, boyfriend, maybe we should move out of the way.."she said, blushing a little as she realized that they were being watched by an assortment of people. she, him and his suitcases were all in the middle of the area in front of the boarding door. it was probably not the best place to be standing. she hated that she had to "ruin the moment" because of it, but hey they had enough time to enjoy the chick flick moment. nothing could bring her out of the happiness she was now feeling.

she acts like summer and walks like rain reminds me there's a time to change, hey Since the return from her stay on the moon she listens like spring and she talks like June, hey hey Silence came between them as if it was like a bubble had been built around them, acting like a wall. But Harry had still been talking while Brynne just listened to him, smiling every second. He was glad the two never really got into those awkward silences, because he would've been nervous about the sudden silence. Once he stopped talking though, it wasn't just silent, it was quiet. He let himself pause here for he wanted this moment to be remembered, and he wanted to be able to look back and say, "That's when it all changed again." And remember it in detail. Guys didn't usually get into this sort of thing, at least none that Harry knew, but this was an important moment for him and Bee.
They had a series of important moments together. The first time they met, though that one was a little more hard to remember since they both were little tiny babies then. He vaguely remembered toys being thrown once or twice at him though. Then when they were five years old when he kissed her and asked her to be his girlfriend.... he had already thought he was "in love" with her at the time, though everybody thought it was that whole kid stage kids went through. Nobody really expected it to last as long as it had.
Harry glanced down at his feet as brynne answered, smirking at the statement since he had just been remembering that. He chuckled and shook his head in agreement. "No, that is true."He let himself be distracted by the de ja vu moment, and took her hand as she laced his with hers. When he suddenly realized how many people were watching them, it felt like they were fish in the fishbowls with a bunch of people. "Yeah, we probably should," he agreed, stepping aside a few steps to the right before pulling Brynne towards him again, and placed a kiss on her lips. After he pulled away a moment later, he looked down at her. "I think this is the best surprise ever," he told her quite honestly, unable to think of one that would top this.

-------------------------------------tell me, did you fall for a shooting star? one without a permanent scar
and did you miss me while you were looking for yourself out there.------------------------------------- this was bee's favorite thing about her relationship with harry. they had been so close for all their lives that an awkward silence never fell between them. when there were silences, they were never awkward. there was just a sort of understanding between the two. bee had always found it hard to explain, but here they were silently staring at each other. it was like the whole world around them had kind of melted away. once bee had realized they were still in the airport she had suggested they move. yeah, we probably should.
with that harry had pulled her over to the side. now they were out of the way. she smiled, glancing around a moment at the people who had been looking at them strangely. she chuckled lightly before looking back to him. i think this is the best surprise ever, she smiled as he pressed a kiss on her lips. "mmm you know me. never settle for less than the best"she said jokingly. "you have no idea how excited i am that you're home." she said, completely serious this time. she had been pretty lonely all month without him around. everyone had been kind of busy lately. james and lincoln had moved away, ryan and callie were always together, and harry was traveling. bee had missed him so much, not to mention she had been dying to tell him all month that she loved him, but she was waiting to do it in person.
she looked around a moment, suddenly realizing that they had left mrs.roberts. "oh harry!"she said all of a sudden, "we should probably find your mother..."she said, feeling bad that they had sort of left her alone. harry's luggage was still where they had thrown it down, and mrs.roberts was probably off waiting for them somewhere. bee couldn't help but to wonder how mrs.roberts felt about this. ever since they were little, harry's parents and bee's parents were always so supportive of their relationship. actually, harry was one of the only guys her own mother actually liked.
