I CANNOT GET OUT OF THIS PLACE THAT I AM IN ( w h e n e v e r y o n e o f y o u r w o r d s t h e y m e a n n o t h i n g ) --------------------------------------- It was a gorgeous day out; the perfect day for a shopping spree. Not that Jasey didn't have enough shopping sprees, but a girl could never have enough clothes. Especially since that girl got oodles of money each month from mommy and daddy. I guess there was one plus side to her dysfunctional family. With each click of her boot heel, Jasey stepped closer and closer to the little coffee shop where she was supposed to meet Brynne. Carefully pulling out her Touch Diamond™, she checked for the time, and to be sure that there weren’t any messages, then held tightly to it; the feeling of her phone in her hand had always been a strange habit of hers. Even though she had enough room in her purse and pockets, Jasey needed the phone. She was a strange girl at times.
Stopping at an intersection, Jasey eyed the passing cars. The café was within eye sight – just across the street – but the model couldn’t spot her friend. Perhaps she was inside, or just not there yet. Shrugging, Jasey turned her head, to catch an attractive looking man standing next to her. She bit her lip, her flirtatious side starting to poke through. Jasey shifted her weight, slyly taking a step closer to the man. He cleared his throat, and she caught his eye. Deep blues met her now emerald greens. With a slight, shy smile, Jasey played with the ring around her finger, pretending as though she was unfazed by this man’s sexy nature.
"Excuse me,” his voice was deep and throaty; it almost made Jasey’s knees go week. Almost. She pretended like she didn’t hear, until she felt a light touch upon her elbow. Turning slightly, she raised her eyebrows in friendly questioning. “Sorry to bother you,” he started again, a faint Australian accent lining his words, “But you seem very familiar. I believe you’re a model, yeah?” Jasey grinned, nodding in response. “Yeah, that’s right,” she responded, looking into his deep gorgeous eyes. Just then, the light turned and Jasey realized she had to cross as not to leave Brynne waiting. “Bye,” she offered a small wave and was just about to cross when he took her hand, placing a card securely in her grasp. "Call me sometime,” he smirked and watched her leave him. Satisfied, Jasey hurried across the street before the light told her not to cross again. She couldn’t wait to find Brynne. brynne glanced at the clock on the other side of the room, while she held the phone to her ear with her shoulder. she was multitasking, getting ready and talking on the phone to harry. it was a tad difficult, but she didn't want to be late for meeting jasey, and she didn't want to put the phone down either. "harry, i really gotta go now or i'm gonna be late." she said, wandering over to the mirror while still holding the phone. "i'll call you later.. i love you too. byeee." she said, hesitating before hanging up. she didn't want to hang up the phone, but she didn't want to be late for meeting jasey either. they were going shopping and bee hadn't been on a shopping spree in ages. it was like a record for her to go so long without shopping. she had sort of cut back on her usual ways, and figured she didn't really need to shop. she glanced in full-length mirror she was standing in front of, looking down as she smoothed out her shirt and jeans. this is as good as its gonna get. she thought to herself. looking good had become increasingly more difficult lately. its your own damn fault for getting pregnant. she mentally joked to herself, glancing down at her stomach.
after deciding she wasn't going to look any better by staring at herself in the mirror, she decided she should probably go. she was going to be late. it wasn't that big of a deal though, she was always late. by now, people should expect if from her. she grabbed her purse off the counter and headed out the door. luckily, she only lived a few blocks down from the coffee shop where she was supposed to meet jasey. a five minute walk at the most. she hurried in the direction of the coffee shop, she could see the sign up ahead. just as she got close enough to see the people around, she noticed jasey across the street with a very attractive guy. she chuckled as she saw him place something in her hand. it had to be a number or something. "hey jasey!"she called out to her friend whom had now crossed the street. "get phone numbers from any hot guys lately?" she asked knowingly, nodding towards the card that was in jasey's hand.

I CANNOT GET OUT OF THIS PLACE THAT I AM IN ( w h e n e v e r y o n e o f y o u r w o r d s t h e y m e a n n o t h i n g ) --------------------------------------- “Kevin Pemberly,” she spoke aloud, reading the name in bold print on the card. Listed was a work number, a fax number, and what Jasey hoped to be a cell phone number. “Well, I might give this one a try,” she giggled, narrowing her eyes and offering a devious smile. Carefully, she tucked the number into her jacket pocket. Jasey knew she could never be too careful when it came to guys, especially random ones who stopped her on street corners to place their business card in the palm of her hand. And Jasey didn’t think she had any luck with the boys. What a silly girl. “So lady, shall we grab some coffee before our spree begins?” Jasey proposed, offering a wide, genuine smile and taking her friend lightly by the arm while leading/dragging her closer to the door. She was slightly addicted to that drug called caffeine. I guess not such a bad addiction, but everyone knew how cranky Jasey could get when she went too long without her fix. Giggling like a little girl, Jasey opened the door, offering passage inside. Compared to the chill outdoors, the inside was like a toasty little oven, welcoming them to a comfortable visit. Waiting for her friend, Jasey enjoyed the cool nip of the December breeze on her face. It was the perfect weather for her, for December was her favorite month. Feeling her fingers get a little cold bit, she slid them into her jacket pocket, enjoying the warming sensation, and the feeling of the little card against her flesh. brynne chuckled as her friend read the name aloud off the business card. kevin pemberly. it sounded like a rather professional name. bee often found it hilarious that jasey thought she had no luck with the guys, when in fact guys were all over her. it was good that jasey had standards though, she deserved the so-called "perfect guy." Well, I might give this one a try, bee grinned at this. "if i were you, i'd definitely give that one a try."she said laughing, "who wouldn't give that a try?" the guy was definitely very attractive. jasey was very pretty. the two would look good together. hopefully the guy had some personality. most hot guys weren't usually too great in personality department, but there were always exceptions, right? bee had found her exception.
So lady, shall we grab some coffee before our spree begins? bee nodded. "yess indeed." bee too was a coffee addict, though nowadays decaf was the only thing she could have. the lack of caffeine was killing her, but decaf was better than no coffee at all right? as she and jasey wandered into the coffee shop arms linked, the smell of coffee came to their noses. bee loved the smell of coffee. the smile on her face grew, simply at the smell. it was so warm inside too. it was a good way to get out of the cold for a little before they started their shopping adventure. when they got to the counter bee quickly ordered. "i'll have a venti decaf white mocha."she ordered, then looked to jasey for her to order.
