Tossing in turning in her bed, the female had sweat rolling down her delicate face. She finally awoke, sitting straight up in her bed. She made no noise, though, for she feared it was early in the morning. But as she turned her head to look at the clock, she found it was a mere 3:00. She couldn't believe how late she had slept. The bonus was, though, she did not have to work at the resturant tonight. She sighed, pushing the covers off of her and setting her feet down on the cold, wooden floor. It sent a chill through her body, but she made no other movements. Standing up, she walked over to her dresser. She knew where she was going today, simply because she had already planned it yesterday. She was going to the park, maybe practice her dance rountine where there was barely any people and just relax for a little bit.
She grabbed her black shirt and sweatpants, pushing her pajamas off on to the floor before pulling the black top and bottoms on. She shut the drawers, grabbing a black hair tie off the top of the dresser and pulling her hair back in to a pony tail. It was going to be a bit chilly today, just like every other day in New York. Sure, maybe it wasn't smart, going out in almost pure black clothes. But it was better then nothing. The girl grabbed her high heels, the ones she had to practice in. If she wanted to make a career in dance then she would have to get used to dancing in heels, and soon. New York was where most of the hollywood stars made their break for fame at, and she had to get good soon.
She grabbed her tennis shoes off the stairs as she went down, walking in to the living room. She set her heels on the floor, along with her shoes and sat down on the leather couch. She already had socks on, and pulled the Nike shocks on over them. She grabbed her heels, her keys and phone off the counter, and walked out of the house. She shut and locked the door, pulling the key out of the lock and shoving them in her pocket. Shewalked slowly, not really in a rush to get anywhere. She picked up the pace, her brown hair that was tied back swinging as she walked.
She sighed, looking down at the concrete as she walked. Modern dancing, or at least she called her style modern, was different then the way people danced now a days. You've got some of that ballet stuff mixed in with hip hop and you have Jenni's style of dance. It was a little different then most, but so far all the people she showed her rountine to they enjoyed it. She knew not everyone would like it, since everyone has their own opinion, but it was a rather good mix of dance styles. Different then most, unique, and that's what people look for when you try out for stuff. If you fit what they are looking for, and how unqiue and talented you are. She would not call herself exactly talented, just very good at what she does.
She finally reached the lake, walking across the concrete path. She remembered grabbing her I-POD when she left, cause it's such a natural thing for her to do. Music was a huge part of her life, even though she wasn't singing to it or playing an instrument to it. Instead she was dancing, and it's almost impossible to dance without music. After finding a rather shady spot by a tree, she set her heels down in the grass. She sat down as well, pulling the tennis shoes and socks off her feet, the put the white heels on. She made sure the straps were tight enough the shoes weren't loose, but they weren't too tight either. She'd rather not have them cutting off her ciruclation or flying off her feet when she lifts her foot.
She grabbed her electric device, turning on the song she had planned to play during the rountine, and stuck the I-POD in her top. She had no pockets, so that was what she had to do. As soon as the part came where she started danicng, her body moved immediatly. She slid to the right, getting up on her right foot and spinning twice, taking her left foot and pressing it against the inside of her right thigh. Planting her left foot firmly on the ground, she hips jerked to the left, causing her body to move as well. Her arms raised above her head, swaying her hips from left to right a couple times. As she went to cross her right foot over her left, she immediatly lost her footing. She hit the grass with a thud, and groaning lightly. Pausing the music, she looked down at her ankle. It hurt a little, but she was used to it. She'd hurt her ankle many times before dancing in heels. This wasn't the first time, and it surely wouldn't be that last.
