- Party-girl - Roxie is all about the partying and the rocking, though not for the reason that everyone thinks (explained in the next trait).
- Friendly/Caring - The reason Roxie ever does anything out of whack or strange is to make friends and be with people she cares about.
- Flirt - Flirting is Roxanne's way of testing out boys, to see if their her 'type' or not. As Rox plans on having the perfect love life, she has to test out just about every boy she meets.
- Loyal - Anyone who knows Roxanne knows very well that she is a sweet and loyal friend who sticks up for anyone she's close to.
- Fierce - Many might also notice about Roxie is that she's a fiery little thing whose temper can flare exceedingly easy. She doesn't take insults or taunts lying down, and has a bite sharper than her bark.
- Intelligent - All because Roxanne doesn't like to party doesn't mean she's a total bimbo. In fact, Roxie is actually amongst the top of her class in business, and is quite proud of that face. She studies and does well on tests and quizzes, like her father.
- Observant - Another thing that people might think applies to Roxanne is observant. With her smart mind and a fierce attitude, she can very well tell if someone has trouble with a lie or something else like that.
- Sweet/Loving - If there's one thing that Roxie cares about, it's her father. She also loves her friends too and cares about them almost as much.

Tyler Locke was an up and coming businessman who was being groomed to take over his father's company, Locke Enterprises - a rather popular business industry that dealt with classic school and house supplies. Caroline Braxter, or better known as Carol, was a mechanic in San Francisco who had a very modest background and no intentions of ever becoming rich. Tyler was driving down from Oregon from an important business meeting with some international organizations when his car broke down in San Francisco. His friend recommended Carol's shop, so Tyler managed to push his car the two blocks down to her mechanic's shop and request an immediate fix-up of his car.
Caroline was instantly taken aback by the attitude and beauty of the man, so many could say that it was indeed love at first sight. But when she found out that the very man she was falling in love with was actually Tyler Locke, the assistant CEO of Locke Enterprises, she nearly had a heart attack. Then she began showing her more manipulative side. Though she never wanted to be rich, Carol still enjoyed spending money. She began mooching off of Tyler, who was all but willing to offer her whatever money she wanted. And when she became pregnant with his child a year later, Carol completely flipped. She wanted an abortion - not wanting to be a mother - but Tyler refused to let her. He was a pure Christian who believed abortion was wrong.
So Roxanne Taylor Locke was born on the 20th of April. Caroline told Tyler that either their daughter was to take his last name, or they would put it up for adoption. The instant Caroline was allowed to leave the hospital, she did so in secrecy and was never heard from by Tyler again. It turned out that she didn't want to have his child, and was frightened away by all of the fame that was being associated with the name Locke. Tyler, of course, loved his daughter despite his girlfriend's flight. Naturally, he took Roxanne home and took care of her as only a single father could.
Her early childhood was rather dull, despite the constant attention from her father and the paparazzi. By the time she was five, almost everybody in San Francisco had seen a picture of Roxanne Taylor Locke. Since Tyler was often busy with his business, when she was three he hired a nanny to take care of her - Ava Richardson. Ava was a sweet woman and took care of Roxie's every need (operative word being need, not want).
Roxie grew up, only hearing occasional stories about her mother. She went through high school with a minimal amount of boyfriends, and only two kisses. The media constantly hounded her, always asking her how she felt about her father's success, or other stupid questions like that... that somehow always managed to put her in the spot light. By the end of her senior year, her father was sick of his daughter being assaulted so much by the press. So he contacted one of his managers in New York, and asked if he could make his headquarters somewhere other than San Francisco. The manager instantly agreed, and arrangements were made.
Roxanne arrived two months before first semester started at the college. She wanted to go there and get a major in business, so Tyler instantly called the school and asked them to let his daughter in. Of course, she was accepted with open arms and a red carpet. Instantly, knowing her life was going to be cooling down now, Roxie started partying. At first, the parties were just a sign of relief, of assurance that her time in the spotlight was over. Gradually, over time, the parties merely became an escape where she could simply hang out and have some fun. Roxanne is now currently in her second full year at the university, moving along nicely with her major.

Ugh, can morning classes get anymore crappy?
Roxanne Locke had never really been one for getting up early in the morning. It was obvious in the way that her hair, darkened by the summer climate, was combed messily and her hazel-green eyes had dark rings around them. She remembered after leaving the bathroom this morning that she'd looked like a raccoon. A sleepy raccoon. Perhaps the only difference now was that she now looked like an alert raccoon that looked exceedingly annoyed. Because not only had today been a very boring day in class, but she had also been called out for almost falling asleep in class. Even though she hardly cared when she was called out in class, it still irritated her slightly.
Her phone ringing made Roxie pause on her way to her beloved car, and she pulled it out of her jean pocket. Rox flipped open the screen to find that it was her father calling. In confusion, she flipped the phone open and put it up to her ear.
"Hey, honey. How was class?"
Her father was always so sweet on the phone, no matter how badly his day was going. The thought of her dad made Roxie smile, so she answered back cordially, "Hey, Dad. It was great. How's your day going?" Of course what she'd just said was a complete lie, but she never wanted to make her father feel bad for signing her up for a morning accounting class. Absentmindedly, she waved to a friend who was across the courtyard and then turned her attention back to her conversation on the phone.
"Actually, Roxie honey, I was wondering id you could come in today. I know you don't have a job here yet, but my secretary just called in sick. I was wondering if you could take over for the day."
And so this was how it always began. The operative word in his statement had been the word 'yet'. Everybody at the corporation knew that Roxanne was being groomed to be the CEO of Locke Enterprises once her father stepped down. She was never paid for the rare days she came into the office and worked, and of course she never had any complaints. So, Roxanne grinned to herself - even though a headache was beginning to settle in her mind after the party from last night. "Sure, Dad. I'd love to," was her generic response as she got into her car.
