Alexa Scarlett Mason was born on August 24th, 1991, in Boston, Massachusetts. Both Roxanne and Robert had careers with good wages, so they had a nice house in an upscale neighborhood. Lexi and her mother didn't exactly get along; Roxanne was always pushing her to be better, smarter, girlier, prettier, thinner. Nothing Lexi ever did was good enough in Roxanne's eyes. Being a former super model, Roxanne was very obsessed with looks and what people thought about her and her family. Lexi's relationship with her father was the complete opppsite. Robert was a very kind, and loving man, and Lexi meant the world to him. He taught her how to play guitar, and got her interested in photography. They were very close and spent every Sunday of Lexi's childhood together doing things that they both enjoyed.
Growing up in Boston was a pretty interesting experience for Lexi. She started hanging out with a fast crowd of people who were into drugs and alcohol, by the time she was in 7th grade. She spent her weekends at rock concerts, hooking up, getting high and drunk. It was a really bad scene. The only thing that made Lexi stop was her father. When she was 17, her father was diagnosed with lung cancer. This destroyed Lexi. Her father was the only relative in her life she loved and cared about. Lexi spent every day after her senior year with her father. She played guitar for him, and even wrote him a song. By the end of her senior year, things weren't looking so good for Robert. He passed away on Jun 15th of Lexi's senior year, two days before her graduation.
Lexi was devastated by her fathers death, but was even more mortified when she found that her mother showed no remorse. Lexi and Roxanne got into a hue fight, where her mother even admitted she married Robert for his money and life insurance. But little did she know, Robert had left everything he owned to Lexi, including a beautiful penthouse in Manhatten. Estranged from her mother, Lexi moved into the penthouse, and was ecstatic that she had gotten into the university a few blocks away. Her major was an easy choice; photography. Something she and her father both loved. She hasn't spoken to her mother since the day after her father died, and Lexi is ready to but her sadness behind her. She is a beautiful young her, living her life to it's fullest in the beauiful place called Manhatten.

Lexi looked at herself in the mirror, making sure she looked decent for a night out on the town. Smokey eye liner highlighted her big brown eyes, and her lips were glossed with her favorite strawberry flavor. She wore her favorite DKNY black skinny jeans, silver top, and matching Jimmy Choo sandals. Her hair was curled and way past her shoulders, they way she liked to keep it. She seldom wore her hair any other way. Sometimes it would go up for special occasions, but she'd rather have it be down and flowing.
Lexi loved to party. There was just something magical about entering a dance club, hearing the thumping of the speakers, and seeing all the flashing lights. Dancing on a table with a drink in her hand, living life to its fullest was Lexi's absolute favorite way to spend her weekends. One of the last things her father had said to her before he died was "live your life the way you want to, my angel", and that’s what she intended to do. Since her estrangement from her mother, Lexi has started to do the things she wanted to, the way she wanted to. She was sick of her mother's judgments and sick of not living up to her standards.
When her father had left her his penthouse in Manhattan, Lexi had learned that it was where she belonged. It was perfect, with her college just a few blocks away, and a lot of beautiful locations where she could work on her photography. Plus she had the most amazing view from her living room window.
Walking over to her door, Lexi grabbed her bag, keys, and jacket, and entered the blue-carpeted hallway. Since she lived on the highest floor, the stairs weren't really an option. She got on the elevator, went out through the revolving door, and looked for the shiny black limo awaiting her.
